Privacy Policy
The short version: MegaPDF collects nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers — and no network access at all. Your documents and your signatures never leave your device, because there is no server for them to go to.
1. Who we are
Electric RV (Ontario, Canada) publishes MegaPDF and is the data controller for anything this policy covers. MegaPDF is free, open-source software; its complete source code is public at github.com/SlyWombat/MegaPDF, so every claim below can be independently verified.
2. What we collect
Nothing. Specifically, MegaPDF has:
- No accounts or sign-in — the app never asks who you are.
- No analytics or telemetry — no usage tracking of any kind, first- or third-party.
- No crash reporting — crashes are never transmitted anywhere.
- No network access — the app makes no network connections. On Android it declares zero permissions; on iOS it requests no network entitlements.
The PDF documents you open, the edits you make, and the signature images you create are processed entirely on your device and stored only where you choose to save them.
3. Your signature library
Signatures you draw or photograph are stored in the app's private storage on your device, and nowhere else. Deleting a signature in the app deletes its file; uninstalling the app removes the entire library.
4. Files and permissions
MegaPDF only ever reads or writes a document when you explicitly pick it through your device's own file picker (Windows file dialogs, Android's Storage Access Framework, iOS's Files picker). The app holds access only to the files you chose, for as long as your device's rules allow, and requests no standing access to your storage, camera, contacts, location, or anything else.
5. Third parties
MegaPDF embeds no third-party services, SDKs, or advertising. The app stores you install it from (Microsoft Store, Google Play, Apple's App Store) collect their own install statistics under their own privacy policies; that data is theirs, not ours, and none of it reaches Electric RV in a form that identifies you.
6. Children
MegaPDF is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, children included.
7. Your rights
Under Canada's PIPEDA, Quebec's Law 25, the EU's GDPR, California's CCPA, and similar laws, you have rights to access, correct, and delete personal data an organization holds about you. Because MegaPDF collects nothing, Electric RV holds no personal data about you to access, correct, or delete — but you are always welcome to ask: privacy@electricrv.ca.
8. Changes to this policy
If a future version of MegaPDF ever introduces a feature that collects data (for example, opt-in crash reports), this policy will be updated before that version ships, the change will be noted in the app's release notes, and the app-store privacy declarations will be updated to match.
